Together our community “Kids are Special Too” Easter Egg Hunt has grown but it remains a free family event for all ages young & old. Check out some of our fun facts over the years.

1983

THE BEGINNING

Senator Harper started the Egg Hunt in 1983 when she was the Councilwoman for the 2nd District.  She wanted a fun way for the community to have a great event in their neighborhood while being able to meet and fellowship with their elected officials and community leaders while the children had fun. Her one & only Sponsor in 1983 was her husband.

Over 25, 000 kids & their parents have attended this event. Kids that hunted 35 years ago are now bringing their grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Over 175,000 Eggs have been hidden.  Our children have won prizes  everything from Easter Baskets all the way to Motor Scooters & Bicycles
